Our PDF Compress tool re-encodes images embedded in your PDF at a lower JPEG quality, reducing the file size — especially useful for PDFs with many photos (scanned documents, photo albums, etc.).
PDFs with only text (no images) will not be significantly reduced in size by this tool, as text compresses very efficiently by default. For scanned PDFs with images, expect 40–70% reduction at 70% quality setting.
