Most image compressors reduce file size by aggressively lowering JPEG quality — resulting in blurry, pixelated photos. Our Smart KB Reducer uses a different, superior approach:

1. Quality-first binary search — finds the highest possible JPEG quality that fits within your target KB
2. Dimension scaling (if needed) — only if quality compression alone isn't enough, it reduces image dimensions proportionally while keeping quality high (e.g. 85%+)
3. Quality floor guarantee — you set the minimum acceptable quality (default 60%). The tool never goes below that floor

Compression Modes

• Target KB: Hit an exact file size (±0.5KB accuracy)
• Max KB: Ensure file never exceeds a limit
• Fixed Quality: Set a specific quality % (1–100)

Quality Strategies
